2022.01.28 16:40 SirTarkwin Domination Mode needs one major change.
There needs to be a cut off to reinforcements at some point, so far games seem to play amazingly but they also seem to just randomly end. Like The battle is still going! I wanna see the end! I hope they either cut off reinforcements sooner to allow armies to dwindle to final skirmishes and feel more resolved, or give a "late game" objective where maybe objectives lock except one and reinforcements are stopped for a kind of king of the hill last stand? Idk I'd love to hear some ideas and I do REALLY enjoy watching the new mode, but from what I've seen so far I really want to see the "end" of the battles too.

2022.01.28 16:40 tdotshark Upon his hiring in 2014, Kings owner Vivek Ranadive proposed a style of play that included his team keeping one player on offence the entire time, creating a 4-on-5 defence on the other end.
Good news, though: The Kings are going to be entertaining! Owner Vivek Ranadivé has pitched the idea to the team’s brain trust of playing 4-on-5 defense and leaving one player to cherry-pick, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter. The Kings aren’t actually going to do that, but their D-League might, and it shows Ranadivé is committed to pushing boundaries in his search for an offbeat brand of “position-less” ball.
How is this guy still in a position of power over an NBA team 8 years later? He certainly doesn't have a single thing to point at on how he improved the team since his hiring in 2014 (even with a roster as talented as this).

2022.01.28 16:40 dex941981 Unpopular opinion: Villager should be a higher tier character and is underrated.
Okay so this post is gonna be me praising Villager because I see him often get a lot of slack so I’m here to defend his cause. For the most part, I’ve seen Villager ranked as a C tier character. Which isn’t horrible but he’s seen as somewhere in the middle. I think he should be ranked at least in B tier and is criminally underrated.
I see many say he has limited kill options which I sort of disagree with. Just because you can’t kill with him at crazily early percentages doesn’t mean he lacks kill options. And usually characters that can kill that early lack heavily in other areas.
Bowling ball has absolutely insane kill potential and so does Tree. Granted; it takes patience to set up those kills but he has has influx of options to garner stage control and set up those kills. Dig is a pretty quick down smash that can set up a bowling ball kill and you can even drop the ball from ledges I mean come on ! Slingshot also holds great kill potential at higher percentages and can combo into itself. Lloid rocket also kills at higher percentages if you ride it .
Dash attack is also pretty quick and covers good range. You can also drop the pot from ledges.
His Nair is a great “get off me” tool, as Villager definitley needs to spacing to get control of the stage.
His recovery goes without saying it’s one of the best in the game if not the best. You can literally recover from hell unless balloons are popped . Also, sending out Lloid rocket when getting launched across the stage has saved me many times from getting killed, as it pauses your launch speed.
My only real big critique of Villager is his grab/throw. It’s painfully slow and gets punished really easily . However his down throw is a great combo starter and his back throw has kill potential at higher percentages so it has redeeming qualities .
Overall I think Villager has a pretty neat kit. Although I can understand why people wouldn’t prefer it since it requires patience and reading your opponent

2022.01.28 16:40 Leit89 I am about to stay at a campsite for 1-2 months. I need suggestions on menus
I am currently relocating and we are in between houses. My family is staying in our current city in an Airbnb so that my spouse can continue to work and the kids can continue to go to daycare. This airbnb is very expensive.
I will be moving to my new city and will end up staying at a campground to save costs while looking for a house. I am looking for recommendations for food during this stay. Below are some of the supplies that I had and thoughts as well.
10" skilletsmall saucepan, in addition to a Coleman gas stove for cooking. I enjoy my coffee in the morning and have a bialletti to make small amounts for myself.

2022.01.28 16:40 nobervu Watched seasons 1-4 during the pandemic, my takes
I watched all four seasons during the pandemic and finished earlier this week. This review has spoilers. Season one: For me, personally, season one was definitely the best season. It was able to introduce all the main characters without having to go too heavy handed retelling their back stories (especially for characters like Robin, where it isn't really necessary), or by simply glossing over it (via Kid Flash). I really appreciated that while this was a cartoon for children, it's general plot was also great for long time fans and adults. Did a great job of setting up for season two with six main Justice Leaguers missing for nearly a day.
Season two: While not as good as season one, was still an overall solid season. My main issue with this season (and overall with season 3) is that it seems to introduce characters for the sole point of saying, 'LOOK, MORE DCU CHARACTERS!'. It tried to push too many new characters in your face without doing it in a slow, gradual way. I understand it was a huge time jump, but the lack of the original 6 being involved (especially Wally) was such a shift in the story. Introducing so many characters who were even more immature than Wally started in season one made certain episodes very cringy. Not as cringy as Beast Boy in seasons 3 and 4, however. They had a main plot line they wanted to get across, just watered it down with unnecessary characters to do so.
I understand it was a time jump, but having the roster grow from 7-8 at the end of season one to 20+ in season two. There was no real way to flesh out the majority of the characters. Season three tried to correct this by focussing more on new members , but it had it's own issues. I also wasn't a fan of how they killed off KF. There's a way to make it more meaningful without over-setting it up. But it really came out of absolutely nowhere and seemed to just be a random plot device after wasting his character for 95% of the season.
How I would have done it: Still focus on the original 7, but have 2-3 members to have joined the squad during the time jump (you could also have shown a few other members did join, but left before the time jump finished). SLOWLY introduce another 2-3 characters to join during the season in a meaningful way.
Season three: It seemed they tried to learn from their mistakes in season two and focus more heavily on fleshing out one squad of members. The problem is.. those members were super generic and boring in personality for me. Geo force, Halo and that squad were just.. boring. The only positive of the season for me was Black Lightning. This was the worst season for me, personally. Utterly forgettable characters and plot involving Markovia.
How I would have done it: Picked more entertaining characters to base the majority of the season on.
Season four: This season went all over the place. While they seemed to try to go back to their roots with focusing on the fan favorites, they did it in a way that wasn't pleasing to the viewer. Yes, I love MM and SB, but primarily having 4 episodes of 80% them planning a wedding and investigating a murder was too much without other members of the squad to take some of the spotlight. It was the exact opposite problem season two had: instead of too many characters watering the story down, it focussed on too few, leading to them over telling unimportant and boring parts of the story. There's nothing wrong with storytelling, but did we really need almost two full episodes of them planning the wedding ceremony? Another thing they tend to over do in this series is trying to over-set up for future situations. Introducing the glimpse of them being watched over at the end of season 3 via the Legionaire ring was really cool.. but having 3 members of them taking so much time spying and contributing very little to the story (just to likely have a flash back in 20 episodes showing they did more than you thought) while taking any substantial screen time was meh. Their screen time was too much for their minor involvement in saving beast boy / sb.
I get what they tried to do with the PTSD for Beast boy. I really do, and it was ambitious to try to show the struggles of mental health and depression.. but they dragged it out way too long and gave it WAY too much screen time. Obviously mourning someone or something isn't a quick fix and can take a substantial amount of time to recover from, but they did it in a way that made Beast Boy genuinely unlikeable and unsympathetic. I feel you can only contribute so much of him just being a giant dick to depression and PTSD/ pill popping and after a certain point, he just seems like a shitty person. It went from light sympathy to cringing every time he would appear on screen to do or say something ignorant, dumb, or insulting.
I'm not even going to comment much on episodes 9-13. Love Zatanna, but that arc was a mess. A case of over explaining FATE and Vandal's backstories. Easily could have been done in a few clips, but to have 2-3 episodes narrated by the Stranger made the pacing feel incredibly bad. Despite the new agent of chaos, it never actually felt like a big bad or threat.
Did I think the MM+SB episodes were okay? Sure. Did I like the Artemis / girl squad episodes? Sure. Would I have rather episodes 1-8 have included Nightwing, Aqualad, SB, MM and Artemis actually interacting and advancing the plot together? Definitely. How I would have done
How I would have changed the season: I'm biased since I love the original roster so much, but in returning to the roots and focussing more on them, it would have been better for the overall season arching story to involve the remaining 5-6 of them together as opposed to splitting them up in episode segments. If they wanted to use the first 2-3 episodes to set up a dramatic Superboy death, fine, but there's absolutely NO reason the original squad shouldn't have been there for their first Mars ceremony. They were just as much family to Connor and MM than Beast Boy and Superman. From that point, it could have brought the original squad back together and have a genuine but easy reason to reunite to their main squad again. It could have been to investigate more where the kryptonite came from (after discovering Megan's brother placed the bomb but not the kryptonite), or just on a new adventure exploring how they didn't realize how much they missed being around and working with each other until Connor's death.
Those are just random thoughts I had on each season. Feel free to agree or disagree, but I'm a bit sad on the direction the show has gone. It's clear that they put a lot of love into the show, but they're clearly much too ambitious for their own good. It comes across on decent ideas being half assed.
